MISSION: Our mission is to stop needless euthanasia. We have a no kill policy! The volunteers work very hard to educate the general public about treating pets more humanely by offering advice on, training, feeding, grooming, offering low cost spay & neuter information, and preventive medications.
When funds allow, we help the public owning pets during hardships. Here's what we do after a pet is surrendered to us; we temperament test the pet, then we treat the pet for any medical conditions, and grooming. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, preventatives, behavior issues, etc.
When they are ready they are promoted to find a forever home through our adoption process. In most cases home visits are done prior to placement.
We are still renovating our facility, and we need your help to make our shelter a good stopover for the pets while waiting for a forever home.

Pet Rescue in Okeechobee is hosting a spaghetti dinner with a Chinese Auction and door prizes. Dinner is just $10 for adults and $5 for children, 10 and under.
The dinner is on Saturday, June 15, at VFW Post 10539, 3912 Hwy. 441 South, from 3 to 6 p.m.
Come out and join us for some good fun and food. All proceeds go to the Pet Rescue for care of the animals.
